Funny...I thought for years, that AMERICA was the one safe place for people to come and enjoy happiness and freedom. How can that be? I mean if this F___ is the shinning example of intelligence in the world, how can AMERICA continue to be a shinning light on a hill? Really, think about it. If pricks such as this most ignorant of pukes, happens to be an example of the immigrants coming to this country...how can we continue to be great? Now, now... freedom of speech means you can say all kinds of crap.
Whether or not you agree with the war in Iraq, whether or not you agree with the choices of any individual soldier -- NOBODY deserves to be slaughtered or mangled.
The hyperbole of that comment renders it useless and invalid. If you want to say something about personal responsibility and morality that's one thing.
I have an American friend who has served in Iraq twice so far. He's a self-proclaimed Republican and, as a Canadian, I find it neccessary to argue with him at every opportunity. But he's also a very moral and intelligent man. He does not like war, nor does he like leaving his wife and child behind. But he loves his country and his countrymen.
I'm personally against the war in Iraq but not the soldiers who fight in it. I do believe in personal responsibility, but for many soldiers their trust is placed in their superiors. Until they're asked to do something obviously immoral, it's not really up to individual soldiers to make the call. No military can function without that kind of trust, and however used or abused, the soldiers are right to want to protect their country, stop evil and provide aid where aid is needed.
If you live in a free state, you have to consider the sacrifices made by soldiers who protect you. Without them, you're either stuck fighting wars on your own. I'm damn happy that I'm not forced to participate in a war, and that I can enjoy the freedoms I have.
Never take that for granted.
The sentence "you're either stuck fighting wars on your own" was supposed to continue. You can fight them on your own, surrender or die.

It's illogical to say you're "against the war, but support the troops." If you're against the war it follows that you must also be against those who execute it at the most basic level (soldiers).
But for me personally, I'm for the war, but against the troops. War is inevitable, and pacifism is simply retarded. America is facing a losing battle, and her days of unmatched and unbridled hegemony is coming to a very bitter end. Even the latest intelligence reports indicate that the troops have UTTERLY FAILED (miserably, I might add) in Afghanistan.
Not to mention global capitalism is crumbling right before our very eyes.

The Idea behind America was a good one at its inception but lacked the foresight to see that it relied on humans to be just an unbiased to be purely American.
To say that you are for the war but against the soldiers seems to be an oxymoron to me. If you are for a thing you mus then by default be for the instrument of a thing.
I back the troops and America with all my blood and my life as it had a just beginning but i however do not back the government of our blessed America as they are unjust and corrupted beyond belief.
This last statement of mine can be construed as an oxymoron of my own but I back the belief behind America at its inception not what we have now.

this person is an idiot plain and simple that just doesn't get it. I wouldn't get my blood pressure worked up over jerks like that. They're cluelees, spineless, and most likely would avoid dark alleys anyway in fear of shittin' themselves just cuz its dark.
